Job Description

Teaching School hubs in the West Midlands work with approximately 250 schools across their designated region. Their core purpose is to support with the recruitment, retention and development of teachers and leaders. They offer Initial Teacher Training, support and training for Early Career Teachers and leadership development. About The Role

The successful candidate will work alongside 3 Teaching School Hub coordinators to support them in the day to day running of the Teaching School Hub, undertaking organisational and administrative tasks associated with all activities of the Teaching School Hub and engaging with key organisational partners and schools across the region.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of the key aspects of the Teaching School Hub work such as Initial Teacher Training, the Early Career Framework, National Professional Qualifications, Appropriate Body Services and other Professional Development
  • Undertake routine administrative tasks for example clerical support, photocopying, filing and collation of data
  • Attend TS hub meetings
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the region
  • Organise room bookings
  • Manage diaries effectively
  • Undertake confidential typing and IT based tasks
  • Organise and set up for events in the training centre which will include arranging refreshments, meeting and greeting visitors, preparing resources, organising registers, collating feedback
  • Attend some external events to offer administrative support
  • Develop an understanding of TS hub finance processes and support as required
  • Other duties as required to support with a busy training centre

Requirements

Qualifications

Essential:

  • English and Maths at grade 4 or above (essential)
  • A-levels or Level 3 BTEC (preferred)
  • Good standard of practical application of literacy and numeracy

Desirables

  • Good IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to learn in-house systems
  • Ability to work quickly and responsibly
  • Ability to prioritise effectively to ensure deadlines are met
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Good spoken English and communication skills
  • Ability to manipulate data
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Driving Licence (desirable but not essential)
