At Rykneld school, we pride ourselves in placing children at the centre of all that we do, focusing on their academic and personal achievements and reaching their potential in both. We are a highly inclusive school and make sure that everyone can succeed in a place where they feel safe, happy and well. Safeguarding children is very important to us. We take care in making sure that our policies reflect our practice and procedures.
We work hard to ensure that we create a caring, committed team, enabling everyone to achieve their best, inclusive of staff. We are driven to ensuring that we create the best possible opportunities for the professional development of all staff and by choosing to work at Rykneld. In conjunction with JTMAT and the National Forest Teaching School (NFTS) we can provide wide and varied CPD experiences.
We are proud of our school community and work in partnership with our parents to inspire the children to believe in themselves and to achieve the highest of standards. We encourage our parents to provide support for their children and for the school. Parents are a vital part of the whole team which promotes the child’s learning and well-being. We very much hope that you will take every opportunity to take part in the life of the school and its role within the community. We adopt an ‘open door policy’, encouraging all our parents to share with us in celebrations and also any concerns which they may have.
