Welcome
TO THOMAS RUSSELL INFANTS’ SCHOOL
Welcome to Thomas Russell Infants’ School. We are a large infant school in the heart of the village of Barton Under Needwood. We pride ourselves in the fact that we care for each and every one of our children, spending time to get to know them as individuals and finding out how it is we can best help them to thrive while in our care. As our motto states, we believe our children blossom due to the correct balance of nurture and challenge. We work hard to provide a curriculum and learning experiences which make for happy, independent, confident learners who take pride in their achievements. We believe the home-school link also plays a crucial part in this so work hard to establish successful relationships.
We value all staff and the contributions their role makes to the school. Professional development for all staff is important to us; we expect staff to want to learn more and develop themselves as people and professionals. We are part of a successful MAT, with the National Forest Teaching School and SCITT providing excellent opportunities for professional development at all stages within your career.
We recognise the importance of a work-life balance and commit to supporting all our staff in achieving this.
Thank you for your interest in our school – we look forward to receiving your application.
