We are proud to be part of The John Taylor Multi Academy Trust of Schools and thank you very much for taking an interest in working at our caring and excellent school.

Walton on Trent Church of England Primary is a small school in South Derbyshire. The children are at the heart of every decision that we make to ensure they are happy, confident and safe. We want children to be curious and excited about their learning.

Through our engaging and vibrant curriculum, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We believe in ensuring that children receive a well-rounded curriculum, where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all children experience success and reach their full potential during their time at Walton and beyond.

In our most recent Outstanding Siams inspection in Autumn 2017, the “high levels of care, where nurture and strong pastoral support are underpinned by the school’s distinctively Christian character” was evidenced. Our last OFSTED in 2011 was also Outstanding. Our school has a very dedicated and passionate staff team who work hard to reach high standards in everything we do. We believe in the power of building positive relationships with children, parents, the local community and the other schools in the area. We know that education is a partnership between home and school and we do our upmost to ensure that we all support each other in the best interests of our children.
