Welcome
TO WINSHILL VILLAGE PRIMARY and NURSERY SCHOOL
The ethos of our school is caring, positive, and inclusive. Anyone visiting us finds a school in which the
children are happy and love learning, where they respect and support one another, and where they make
excellent academic and personal progress under the guidance of a fabulous staff team. Our school was
oversubscribed for Reception admissions in September 2022 – testament to our strong local reputation.
Over the last five years, despite the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, our school has been on a journey
of profound transformation. We have high expectations of our children as we aspire every day to live up
to our school motto of ‘Learning Without Limits’. We are proud to say that following an inspection in June
2022, OFSTED found us to be a good school.
Winshill Village sits in extensive grounds at the heart of our community. Our site includes a modern,
dedicated nursery building, multi-use games area (MUGA) and large playing fields. We are a proud
member of John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust (JTMAT), and work in partnership with other Trust schools and
MAT Leadership to support ongoing improvements in teaching, learning and pastoral care. Our governing
body is supportive yet challenging and includes members from diverse professional backgrounds.
Thank you again for your interest in joining us. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask, and
we hope to meet you very soon.
Yours sincerely,
Chrissie Hakes
