Why work for Winshill Village Primary and Nursery School School? | Supporting Information | Current Recruitment Opportunities | Where are we?

On behalf of our children, staff and governors I would like to welcome you to Winshill Village Primary and
Nursery School.

The ethos of our school is caring, positive, and inclusive. The successful candidate will lead an exceptional staff who work diligently to promote the wellbeing and progress of every child.

Over the last five years, despite the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, our school has been on a journey of profound transformation. We have high expectations of our children as we aspire every day to live up to our school motto of ‘Learning Without Limits’. We are not the same school that was visited by Ofsted in our last inspection in 2017. While, at the time of writing, we still await Ofsted confirmation of that transformation, anyone visiting us today finds a school in which the children are happy and love learning, where they care for one another, and where they make excellent academic and personal progress under the guidance of a fabulous staff team. Our school is oversubscribed for Reception admissions in September 2022, and this is testament to our strong local reputation.

Winshill Village sits in extensive grounds at the heart of our community. Our site includes a modern, dedicated nursery building, multi-use games area (MUGA) and large playing fields. We are a proud member of John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust (JTMAT), and work in partnership with other Trust schools and MAT Leadership to support ongoing improvements in teaching, learning and pastoral care. Our governing body is supportive yet challenging and includes members from diverse professional backgrounds. Thank you again for your interest in joining us. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask, and we hope to meet you very soon.

Yours faithfully,

Richard Anderson
Chair of Governors, Winshill Village Primary and Nursery School

Thank you for your interest in our school. I am very proud to be the headteacher here at Winshill Village Primary and Nursery School.

We are all extremely proud of our school and we work hard to ensure that we can be the best that we can be. We are a community school with a village ethos; inclusive and welcoming. As it outlines in our vision; we are a small school, but we have big ideas and do not set limits on what our children can aspire to and achieve.

We have an extended connected curriculum to enhance your child’s educational potential without losing a valuable part of their lives; that of their childhood. We aim for high standards and expectations in all areas of a child’s day.

I do hope you decide to come along and meet us and I look forward to
welcoming you in our school in the near future.

Yours sincerely,

Miss A. Goodson
